Last month, I had an attack of FEAR. As a trained social scientist and metaphysician, I knew better. But I fell off my balance beam.
So today I’m going to tell you what happened and then share a simple trick to help you keep from being attacked by the fear monster.
Something I read got to me and completely stirred me up. For the next 3 hours, I ran through every doomsday scenario in my mind of what would happen to me if I got the virus.
My common-sense left me and I became a victim. Soon I was in panic.
What if I’m quarantined and run out of food? What if I get the virus and I don’t have a way to get to the doctor or Hospital. What if I won’t be able to call my family who lives in another Province. What if I die before I finish my will. What if I die, period. Down I spiraled into fear paralysis.
Here is a magic trick you can use to determine if someone or something is feeding you fear, or what you are feeling are your own fears.
Notice how you feel when someone is talking to you personally or via media. Or if you are reading something, notice how it makes you feel.
Information honestly given does not make you feel fear.
If you feel fear, there is a rider attached that wants to immobilize you with fear. If it doesn’t feel right, turn away or turn it off. You can actually use the words “cancel, cancel, cancel” to clear away the fear rider.
Pay attention to how information, speakers or reports make you feel in your body. If you immediately feel fear, you are being fed their fear.

Use common sense. Please don’t let fear make you a victim.
